My Rating – 4
Jemima Smythe is over the world of fashion. But when her dream of teaching falls through, Jemmy is determined to show her hometown she’s ready to put down roots. Three beautiful and boisterous kids in need of a nanny offer her an opportunity to prove just that. But their smoking-hot dad, Ned, offers her another—become his wife, as a matter of convenience only.
Ned McCormack is at his wits’ end. A single father to three kids, he quit the city and moved home to the Australian Outback in order to spend more quality time with his family. Unfortunately, the farm needs a lot of work. Just when he’s ready to give up, help comes unexpectedly in the form of a supermodel mistaken as his wife-to-be.
Not a bad arrangement, if only they can stick to the rules of their strictly-business marriage—no kissing and absolutely no falling in love allowed.
This was a cute small town country type book. The writing was well paced and descriptive. You couldn’t help but fall in love with Jemima and Ned and the three kids. It is my first novel I have read by Annie Seaton and was extremely short for so much story building. This is volume three in the prickle creek series, but all of them can be read by themselves if you want.
Jemima moves back home from a high-class lifestyle as a model and wants nothing more than to prove to the town that she is staying and want to be a teacher. When she doesn’t get the job, she runs into Ned and wants to help him out. Ned is a single father with three children and is in desperate need of a loan and help in order to be able to stay at the farm. They two quickly come up with a plan to help each other and get married. This way Jemima can prove she is staying and Ned can get the loan to help his farm.
I loved this novel, it was exactly what I expected it to be and much more. This book was full of all the cheesy romance and I loved every minute of it. I found myself towards the middle cheering them on. The book was overall an amazing short read and I really can’t say much more without giving the story away. I will say if you are looking for a short cheesy romance, this book is for you.
